Construct An Indoor Playground
Indoor Play Equipment:
There are plenty of companies that sell high quality indoor playground equipment that can be set up quickly and moved. While you can certainly build your own indoor play equipment, think twice before building permanent structures unless you run a daycare or child care center from your home.
Before purchasing or assembling equipment, think about where you are going to be housing it. Will this be a permanent structure or a temporary one? Are your kids large enough for an elaborate system, and will they quickly outgrow it?
Commercial playground equipments can provide a safe area to play
during wet or cold weather or when a trip to the neighborhood park is just not
in the cards. Your indoor playground can be made of one large set or of several
movable parts. The key idea is to have a place for the kids to play, use
imagination and even get a little exercise.

Materials Needed:
1. Indoor play equipment
2. Graph paper
3. Measuring tape
4. Rubber floor mats
5.Tools to assemble commercial playground equipments
Step One
Plan out your area, whether the garage, an extra room or a closed-in porch.
Evaluate the space to determne where the equipment will go and how it will be
configured.
There are plenty of different types of equipment you could choose, including
inflatable pieces and plastic panels. There are pieces designed for children to
climb, rock wall systems, sand boxes, see-saws, playhouses, slides, small
swings, tunnels, ladders and poles.
Step Two
Measure the room and begin drawing the actual system on graph paper. This will
help you visualize it a little better before actually purchasing anything. Keep
in mind the things your kids like and how the play.
Leave enough room to walk around safely and comfortably, and make sure there is
enough space between the equipment and any windows, walls or doors.
Step Three
When you are ready to assemble the indoor playground equipment, lay down the
rubber floor tiles. This will provide a softer cushion for the kids in case
they fall.
Refer to your drawing as you put the pieces together and position them in
place. Make sure there is enough room to walk around now that the actual
physical pieces are in the room. If not, then make some slight adjustments to
ensure freedom of movement and safety.
Step Four
Now that the basic structures are in place, you can add the other elements like
chairs, benches and a place for the adults to sit while the kids are playing.
Consider adding chests or shelves for storing toys when not in use.
Never leave a child unattended, even in a room dedicated to commercial
playground equipments. Once everything is in place, let the kids in and enjoy.
